This song was left abandoned at the studio for 25 years after the group stopped playing. It was never mixed and never released. The covid 19 Lock-down meant I could get around to tying up loose ends so I asked Kim to finally mix it. It's interesting listening, I think, because It was recorded on 1/2 inch 16 track tape back in 1995 and mixed with 2020 technology. It's also worth noting that because of the lock-down no one in the band could influence the mix and Kim was left to interpret and produce it however he wanted. It is all the better for it in my opinion and was a real treat to hear it for the first time. I hope you like it as much as I do - Gerry
lyrics
Got here this afternoon
Setting up and being fucked around
Somehow the agency
Switched a gig now we're not getting one
This pattern keeps on coming, It's costing my belief
I'm walking round and later, I'm crawling
On my knees
The morons in control are bigger than you see
They've got a hold on everything you hear
Over here, over and over
Practice in a room
Neighbors call the police
It's a wonder anything gets heard
Ringing hotel after hotel just to play for free
Ever heard the tail "You reap just what you sow"?
It's a motto you should not rely on
Getting nowhere getting older
Seems to be the way it goes
Yeah!
